Supposedly has 27000 rounds on gun and mounted SRO.
The question is, what constitutes long-term maintenance of a pistol with an RDS?

Assume you start with a good plate or milled slide and use the proper screws, at proper torque with thread locker. Or mounted as per manufacturer specifications. In other words, you mounted it correctly and in my case I use witness marks on every single screw that holds the plate or optic.

Aside from checking that you haven't had any shifting of your witness marks, what else do you check?
How often do you just change out the screws?
If you have to remove it to put in a new battery do you replace the screws?

What else am I missing in the maintenance schedule for RDS handgun?

I’ve got a RMR on a Glock with several thousand rounds through it. Never had any need to change/tighten screws. Replaced the battery twice which involves removal and a re-zero. I’d say as long as you loctite, properly torque, and witness mark the screws you’ll be fine. If the optic goes down, it’s lived it’s best life and it’s time for another.
