Fwiw, I switched to a digital torque meter that I just use with a breaker bar. Switched years ago, been working great. I like that it always tells me exactly where I'm at rather that just waiting for a click.

It’s usually not worth it to the everyday guy. Just go buy another torque wrench. Unless you are using high end stuff.Where would a layman non professional mechanic get their torque wrenches certified?
