Recommendations on training aids?

Hey guys,

What various training aids have you used? I see various ones advertised, Mantis X, SIRT, Coolfire, etc.

What types have you used, was it effective, would you buy again? Outside of going to the range and live firing every day, I'm wondering what can I do to improve accuracy at home.

FYI, my edc is a P365.

Some kind of timer with a par-time function (phone app is fine) and dry-fire targets.

I don’t make a big distinction between dry- and live-fire training. I’m doing pretty much the same things whether I’m training in my basement or at a range. In my basement, the trigger pulls are all free, there’s no distraction from the gun going off, and I’m not getting holes in the targets to verify my shot calling. At the range, each trigger pulls costs money (I do a fair amount of dry fire even at the range) and there’s downrange verification of shot calling.

All this gets covered in my classes. I want students to be able to go home and train productively.

Cool fire is pricey but I’ve found it beneficial as well as a lot less cost item called the dry fire mag and they have em now for the 365. Really good for working trigger control and not jerking gun. I’ve had a dry fire mag for years and find it more beneficial with a red dot mounted pistol (the red dot does a better job at showing if you can pull trigger without disrupting sight picture especially consecutive and quick pulls). They now have other options in the dry fire mag line up with laser feeeback, work with mantis type items etc Good for practicing target transitions as well. Dry fire mags are just under $100 bucks whereas cool fire can run as much as a pistol for full set up. Dry fire mag mimics trigger pull weight and has audible and tactile reset of whatever gun it’s for. Pretty good aid imo for the money
