Recommended Cross bow for beginner

Hey all, I am starting to look at crossbows, but was curious what folks would recommend for one who is starting out for hunting? I have plenty of experience with rifles, pistols, but am looking to purchase my first crossbow without breaking the bank. Are there any places to rent perhaps like a firearm? I am in the NW Atlanta area.

Find a used Excalibur and you never will have to upgrade. This is the 9 th year hunting with mine and I gave $400 for it. It dropped at very least 40 deer.

I think about any of them will do they are all quality made. The best thing is you can change the string yourself and you never have to go to a bow shop. I keep an extra string with me and that way if one breaks I can replace it and keep going.

There is an Exomax on here. That is the model that had served me well. I believe Comanche is now still killing deer with it.

That would be jam up! I’ve thought about buying it a few times myself but I’ve just grown attached to my old one!

It’s been a damn good one. Just don’t have much time to use it or a decent place to hunt anymore. Mainly get to hunt fields and they don’t get in crossbow range.
