Debate is good..no harsh or hurt feelings...wish we were in person...so much meaning gets lost in txt.....wrong tones....misunderstandings etc..I believe we are closer to feeling the same on the subject than you might believe.Im afraid I cant convey whats at the very root of what I was hoping to illustrate.Just a lost cause I suppose on both sides

Alright everyone, help me keep my bias that a red dot is not NEEDED on a pistol.

Question:

Why are we talking about and RCO when OP wanted to know about a possible Need mount RDO on a pistol?

9). To say that “A red dot DOES take the place of irons in certain situations” is highly inaccurate and absolutely WRONG. In zero cases does a RDO take the place of BUIS in anything other than golf course shooting games as you must be so concerned with the weight of your tool to give you that much more of a perceived edge over your opponents (see next paragraph “10” with *). To suggest such a thing otherwise is absolutely irresponsible and make me question what’s carried if a weapon is carried for EDC.

The photos I posted of light vs no light show exactly why and when a RDS DOES take the place of irons.
Those same photos also correlate to point number 11. If using only irons under NV, you will have ZERO precision

But let me reiterate again, all of my RDS guns also have BUIS that are useable if the RDS does go down. RDS only with no irons was never something I argued.
