Red dots on pistols

I have no words for the boastfulness and arrogance of this drivel....things break no matter the cost....or even a lemon comes off the line every now and again...You and November Sierra turned this into a mine cost more than yours???Really???Thats almost as bad as "My Dad can beat yours up!!!! and equal to "My D#%%k is bigger than yours....Mr.Bulletslinger is giving good advise and your youth..arrogance...not been there and done that or all three ate showing. The man believes in MRDS and all they offer..even has one on his daily carry..but and its a Huuuuge one evidently, is that he runs his with a solid set of BUIS.Good advice...Im sure most guys who go into harms way fequently do the same. Its like you two think your less of a bad ass operator if you dont run just an optic.Havnt quite figured it out just what it is yet...but neither of you have offered definitive proof or reasons why you shouldnt have one.Dont you two want all the odds stacked in your favor?Dont you want to have planned for every contingency? My guess is you dont like irons to this level is because you dont shoot them well.Hell you guys act like you hate um using words like antiquated.Looks lile Mr.Bulletslinger"who trains people for a living,is leaving you two to your own hard headed demise.Im happy to anytime guage how poorly you two shoot iron sights anytime at my local range. You can be my guests...wont cost a nickle...just bring an iron sighted handgun of your choosing and ammo..with a little pocket change to loose on a friendly wager of course..LOL!!!We can see these skill sets on irons you two must posses to cast them aside so recklessly.Say bullseye at 20-25 yards.Serious offer.Who knows...may be a learning experience for us all..Let me know in a PM
My very best regards..

Well, it turns out you didn’t read the thread before showing how much of an idiot you are, all of my photos of my setup have irons also.

And I have many members her that can vouch for my proficiency with irons only shooting. Again, a stupid statement from you.

My replies had nothing to do with cost, quality was the concept. Same with the other guy, the statement was don’t just judge based on equipment that is subpar for the task, use the correct equipment and then make an assessment.

Pretty much this. My dot pistols have irons on them because like he said, **** happens. However you can mitigate **** happening substantially by not buying garbage to begin with.

I've had two Trijicon SROs break on me (Glock 34 host), one at 12k rounds and the other short of 2k. Both lost the ability to hold a zero and suddenly printed ~18" off at 20 yards.

Current thinking on slide-ride optics in USPSA circles is to have three optics: one on your primary gun, one on your secondary, and the third off getting repaired. This is shooting Trijicon, Leupold, Holosun, or other solid products. These optics are getting better, but they're far from a solved problem IMO. The wide variance in round count before these things break is also surprising.

There's no question in my mind that dots are faster when shooting 15+ yards or on partial targets. It's not just function of a simpler aiming process, lining up two things instead of three, but keeping your focus on the target and not having to pull it back to sharpen up the front sight.

Glad you posted this...some think it doesnt happen with enough regularity to even warrant talking about it.
