I posted this same question back earlier but has anybody been on the Red Top hunt before?Are there alot of deer or what to expect?Any input would help.Thanks.

This is the first shoot I have heard of. I know the manager of the Park and several years ago 2007 or 2008 he brought in professional folks to cull the herd down. They were in bad shape eating only pine straw. The deer should be pretty decent for Bartow deer. Not very big. No trophies just meat for the freezer.
I guess the biggest question is are there still plenty of deer there?
Last I heard, the deer up there were so tame you could just hold your empty hand out and hit them in the head with a hammer.lol

Do I need to take a ball peen or claw hammer?
after the slaughter there are hardly any deer left up there. I finally saw a small buck a couple of weeks ago after looking all year. they still are not scared of people.
They are German Shepard with antlers. Hit many of them over the years with my patrol car.
I think they had a couple youth hunts to help thin the herd as well, they were getting to be inbred
