Reloading supplies future

And if you’re set up for casting, you’re ahead of the game. If you’re not or don’t have the resources, at least get into reloading. It will only get worse, I’m afraid.

I spoke to a Hogdon rep when IMR 8208 XBR was non existent. He said some of the companies used in that powder were very hard to get ahold of. Those chemicals were imported. So with all these trade Imbargos I wonder if we are going to be reduced to using inferior powders and primers. Less availability, loss of accuracy and a severe drop in training frequency. Now that's just a wild guess but if Trump settle down we are headed for massive shortages and increased pricing across the board in terms of reloading.

I learned my lesson back in the time when hardly any components were available. I will not be caught short again. If you have the money, buy in bulk. Figure out what you shoot the most of, and lay it in. If you’re serious about shooting and have the money, lay in 8 lb jugs of powder, primers by the 5k, and projectiles as much as you can afford. If you are into handguns, consider lead bullets or coated from places like Missouri Valley. Consider the $50/yr for free shipping from Brownells and watch for their “free hazmat” days. Again, if you are serious God help us.
No doubt ? When IMR 8202 XBR came back after 2-3 years of nothing it came back in for a very short period of time and I moped up. I mean Varget will get the job done but my 6.8 SPC ll is a laser beam with 8202.

The media said we will never have nothing because we’re mean to illegals and China.

Rachel Maddow approved!
Well the Media has a democratic agenda to begin with. They are prone to be down on everything when a Republican holds office. I just know that when start screwing with imports we are gonna see higher prices on consumer goods and shortages in areas that use imported components. Which lets face it is about 96% of everything we use. On the defensive, those countries charge us out the rear end for stuff we provide so why not hold them to the same standard. But what I know I just live here.

Varget is hiding behind the BLC2. I have to keep the bulk brass/projectiles on the floor due to the weight.

When we moved to the home we’re in now.. our forever home in 2015, I never set my loading bench back up. Quit shooting for precision years ago and now just keep my muscle memory tuned as much as possible by popping caps. Factory ammo does the job for me so for the past 10 years I’ve just stocked it deep when I find it cheep. I’ve more on hand than I’ll ever shoot and my grandsons can have it when I’m outta here. Ammo cans are cheap..
