I have a copper line from the meter to my house approximately 50 ft long. It has a leak that is not drastic, but obviously needs repair. Do I have to replace, or can I just sweat in a coupling?

my take would be on how hard it is to find, get to and fix and is the rest of the line ok. Otherwise, rent a ditch witch, get some copper and go to work ! :)

Should be easy to find by digging down at the wet spot on my lawn. Thanks for the input fellas. I think the pipe is about 2 ft underground. Tomorrow, I'll do a little digging. I was uncertain if a coupling would stand up to street pressure as this is obviously prior to the PRV.
