Go to reply to a message,before I type,copies of prev messages keep piling up in box where I want to reply.How do I clean that garbage out?!!

Help??? I have been a member for 3 years and i got blasted today because i was posting offers that all could see not in private message i have purchased multible firearms off site and did not know this was such a bad thing i reread the rules did not see anything about it but i can not figure out how to private message from an ad i do not want to continue to break the rules?
