I have had the pleasure of drinking and owning some of the most sought after bourbons and can honestly say… the top shelf is a waste of money!
Getcha a bottle of any year Elijah Craig barrel proof or even a Wild Turkey 101… those are obtainable, drinkable, and won’t run a mortgage payment to sip!
You must be the first person I ever heard say that about the cigars.......Kinda like the Cuban cigars.....defiantly overrated!!!
I agree with him. Only reason why people even talk about it and hype it up is because you couldn't get it due to trade relations between the Cuba and the US from the cold war days. Other than that, I wouldn't say it's inferior or superior than Dominican or Honduras, I would say different but definitely overrated. People always gonna want what they can't get.You must be the first person I ever heard say that about the cigars.......
LOL. Yea it's human nature to want what you don't have........O

Another example, for cognac drinkers, Henessey White. Was not available in the US for some time and highly coveted and a common souvenir from cruises and Caribbean trips. Now it's available here and nobody wants it. Absolutely disgusting by the way, for my taste, at least.

RVW 10 is averaging between 675-750 depending on bottle year right now.
48 CONUS market will get you top dollar depending on your status with groups.
You can try the Atlanta Secondary Bourbon market and meet up local instead of shipping, the only downside is prices are a lot lower local but you can network and meet really solid people with connections.
