Can anyone recommend a surveyor that does residential lots? We recently purchased a house and it appears the previous homeowner installed a fence well within the boundaries and I'd like to know where the actual lines are.

Depends on the size of the property.

Stay the **** away from boundary zone like the plague biggest piles of **** you will ever deal with.

Once again, it depends on the size of the property, location, whether you need a plat (full survey), or just your lines marked. If it is a small lot in a established subdivision, the Surveyor may figure up a price based on how long he thinks it may take his crew to do the job. Others may charge based on the linear feet. Best bet is to call the original surveyor if you have a plat already, as that's typically the cheapest option.
