So I found a lot of play in my ujoints on my jeep. I figured I may as well inspect all the components that are most likely to leave me stranded a few miles in the woods. This is what I found:

So I assume I can just slap some bearing grease in the caps and sprinkle all the pin bearings back in the cap and BFH it back on right? :rolleyes:
 
Dang dude the zerk fittings are there for a reason.

man this is a quality chrysler non-serviceable u-joint! lol

It has been replaced with a servicable ujoint now though. haha

I believe that this worn out joint, along with several other components began their degradation around mile 500..haha

I got sick of replacing the u-joints on my TJ every 5-6000 miles and ended up putting some Dana Spicer heavy duty u-joints on. Got about 13,000 miles on them now and no problems.
