I've shot a bunch of armadillos. I've uses .22 LR, .38 Specials, .357 Magnums and .44 Magnums to do the job. None ever ricocheted off. While I am not a fan of the 9mm cartridge, I do not see it failing to penetrate a 'diller!!!

And the bullet just happened to hit the mother-in-law...........yeah, right!!!
