Beautiful. Here's a Winchester frankenrifle. It's a Model 54 action, rebarreled to 280, Timney trigger, Model 70 safety, fancy pants stock, Leupold VX3, weighs about 128 lbs. Love it.

Now that's what I call a good looking rifle. Classic wood and blue steel. Delicious!View attachment 991100 View attachment 991102 Colt Sauer Sporting Rifle in 243
Beautiful.
I really enjoy the classic as well. Maybe because I am 50 now and it's what I grew up with. I can tell you that Carlos Hathcock had no such composite rigs that look like a robot designed them. He used a hand massaged Winchester Model 70, wood stock and a nice optic and did pretty damn well with what he was working with. That's back when country boys could shoot.Thank you, sir.
Here's a Model 70 Featherweight in 257 Roberts (SC production). Put on a VX2, Timney trigger, and a nice sling. Not the lightest or the most accurate rifle you can buy, but it outdoes me every time and I love it. Very handy and has a classic look I enjoy.
