Nice. My 10/22 Green Mountain barrel is threaded, too. And sometimes I use my rimfire suppressor on it.
It makes the OAL of the weapon very long, but not really any longer than an old Mosin, or some shotguns with up to 30" barrels.

Here's an uncommon dirty little rim fire rifle. It's a 1980's Winchester 490 "made in Canada". Steel receiver, heavy for a medium barrel .22 LR and to lug around in the woods but very accurate.

I lugged one around as a young teen and any sitting squirrel in 50 yards was DRT.
