I am not saying I have the right answer or that I am super alert and ready at all times as much as I may try. But if you do not fight and/or make an attempt to ram your way out but rather surrender, you are not just surrendering you, but those who mean more to you than anything else in the world.

I could not imagine anyone having control over my family with ill intent and all I could do is watch and listen. No sir. I may die trying and I may cause my family to suffer injury or even death with my wild escape, but no sir. I will not surrender my family.

And you are right, you do not know if they will just "leave" once you hand over the money/purse/Rolex whatever. Are you willing to gamble with your family?

I can say in my life experiences, anytime I've withdrawn money at 1am or later it hasn't been for something morally good.

Don't ATM's have a max withdrawal of like $300?

I think it varies with your bank account. Years ago, mine was limited to $300; but at some point it was increased to $500.

It may be irregular, but I have made deals at 4 am just because it worked out that way for both of us...With a newbie I would never agree to something like that.
