Robbed at gun point in HIRAM

every one should be aware at an ATM at night..and just driving down the road at night or any time..this could happen in broad daylight say if you pissed somebody off in traffic and get followed home or what ever..there are clues to peoples deminor and avoidance should be on the agenda

Be aware and ready if the opportunity arises, but I'm not sacrificing myself to the God of ego either. Each situation is different with different options. If you already have decided your course of action, you will more than likely lose. But your pride will be intact...
That is as long as it is just money.

Saying it is just money means the victim is willing to enter into a money for my life contract and assumes the thugs will honor their side. Each situation is different and while a course of action cannot be planned until the situation arises, you can decide on a policy. My policy is: it is generally preferable to fight for instead of beg for my life.

**UPDATE**

Talked with a person with knowledge of the situation.

The victim is a young guy, good kid. He's going to school and is an ambulance mechanic. Apparently his business at the ATM was not to withdraw money, but to deposit a check. The victim had his girlfriend in the car. **THE VICTIM WAS ARMED**. The deal went down like the OP described. The perps pinned his car in, approached, told the victim that they had observed him at the ATM, and to hand over his wallet. Under the circumstances, he complied. The perps left. The victim had $91 cash on him.

The victim then went to a nearby parking lot and called the police. They provided very detailed info on the perps, the vehicles involved, etc. Within 30 minutes, the police caught the perps at a nearby RaceTrac gas station.

**EDIT** I received this information from a friend of the family, not from a police source. So, while I have 100% confidence in the folks I talked to, take it for what it's worth.
