Robert Dinero outside of a Mafia role, not so great IMO

Does anyone else notice that outside of playing a NY gangster, RD is really an awful actor?

Taxi Driver is good, however Dinero never looks like he's in his element. It seems he is only able to play an extroverted character in a mafia type role.

I think Robert Dinero is a great actor and like him in almost all the roles he has played. Ronin is one of my favorites and he was awesome in Cape Fear.

I think because you've seen so many of his movies where he plays a "Mafioso" type roll, you expect to see him in that role. Ronin and HEAT were both awesome movies.

I couldn't agree more. I was Honestly disappointed with Heat too.
