Recent hail damage, need a new roof. Insurance paid us to hire our own roofing co. Can someone walk me thru what I'm doing ? I've called several places. PGRS is making me feel like I'm inconveniencing them. Hero just came out and they're very friendly and proffessional. This is my first roof replacement and don't want to get hammered in the keister paying too much. I need a new roof and gutters with leaf guard
Any roofers in here have advice ?

Leaf guard is way over priced IMO. But it is nice to have. There is a Mexican cartel and I mean a for real cartel in Alabama that does roofs out of Collinsville and I hear the are very cheap but do a great job.

Call a roofing supplier near you and ask them for a good contractor that pays their bills.

Demand fall protection per OSHA.

I watched it happen on a jobsite that was a 2 story house I was delivering to, the amigo fell and lucky for him was wearing his fall protection harness. He just laughed swung over to the ladder and went back to work like it was nothing. You know he was probably sore the next day.

A Harness fall is painful but not nearly as painful as breaking both legs, or one’s neck.

With a harness fall, after 11 minutes in suspension permanent damage is almost a guarantee: that’s why all the big companies are so strict about fall protection & also about the rescue plan.

That’s why it is so important to use qualified contractors.

We signed a contract with Hero. Getting the roof, chimney cap, gutters and leaf guards.

Be sure to ask, better yet. Research your county codes on roofs. Make sure all codes are followed. You any or may not have many, or any. It depends on your county or city.
