When I was a kid and the Sears Wish Book arrived in the mail and we saw the tv commercials (before cable tv) on the upcoming Rudolph, Peanuts Christmas, Frosty the Snowman, Andy Williams Christmas show we knew Christmas was “ just around the corner”. Good memories.

I never cared much for Rudolph but all the Peanuts/ Charlie Brown holiday specials were great.
We used to get the Sears AND Service Merchandise catalogs. I don't remember what toys I wanted back then. But I clearly remember really wanting a Universal M1 Carbine from the Sears catalog and a really tacky gold horseshoe ring with diamonds from the Service Merchandise catalog.

I so remember looking through the catalog just to come up with somethin I wanted. Making my list and checking it twice

Good times.......
Yeah I dig Good Times but only up until the episode where they killed James off. After that it was kinda lame. Like Andy Griffith in color without Barney. Just ain't the same.
James was THE talent in Good Times.
'Damn damn dayumn..."
