That sort of problem is why I always depend on/carry a revolver when my security depends on a hand gun. Ruger will fix it but your confidence in it will always be lacking.

yes, ideally you want a snap capThat's like dry firing a bow. The energy should be channeled into something (primer or snap cap) or you could end up with a broken pin.
