I've seen a lot of posts on here for the ruger precision rifles. I may be wrong and get sarcastically slapped again for TRYING to help and I say trying because I have little background with guns and some let it fly on me last time. There are three calibers of Ruger precision rifles at Adventure Outdoors and their everyday cash price is $939.00 , Their credit price is $969. This is of course without any glass and there is a wait period as they have to order them for you from Ruger. I have the info confirmed in an email from Adventure... Thanks.. Mods---I think this post is clean but if it is going to get me in trouble let me know and I will change whatever you like right away. I don't want to cross any lines and get in trouble!!

I'm getting one when I hit the lottery.

I think Ruger hit one out of the park from the reviews I've read.

I'm reading the same thing. It sounds like you get a lot for the price, and most people end up spending far more upgrading stock rifles to get them where the Ruger is. I'm also getting mine after a lottery win.

Yes sir...this is an incredible rifle for the money according to every review and comment I have seen on it. I put a TON of hours into price shopping this thing because like you, I want one and would have it in the works if AO wasn't so far away and my family and I had not been through what we have just gone through(see signature if curious) but I at least want everyone to know where to grab theirs for the fairest price I could find if your interested. Then you gotta come up with the same amount for a great scope!! lol.. Good luck friends and happy shooting!

Accuracy is less than stellar from what they advertise. I've gotten as small as 2MOA with MKE .308 at 600 yards. To get actual competition worthy groups you have to find the perfect reloading recipe, and maybe even buy a LRI barrel. I don't know. I now think it's a gimmicky rifle, and I got sucked into the coolness rather than the functionality. It's a fun gun, but I do not feel confident starting long range shooting with it.

I am also interested in these rifles, and am wondering what else you could buy that would shoot 2 MOA at 600 yards, out of the box. I am not being a smartazz, but am just curious to know. I don't want to shoot competition, but would like to be able to shoot coyotes from a box stand out to about 600 yards.

Remington 700 is all I can think of off my head.

Don't all long-range competitors roll their own to get the best accuracy

Pretty much.
