If I had all the guns I have sold in the past I would have a dynamic collection. I mean really good guns and some rare pieces as well. I was a dumb kid back then and had no idea what I was doing. What hurts is I sold them because at the time I had no place to hunt and sold them for a few dollars in my pocket. I regret those decisions Everytime I open the safe.
My mother told me a story about her buying a Marlin 44 mag lever gun for his birthday. This was back I the 60's I believe. It was a couple weeks later that he sold it. She said she could have killed him. LOL
Awesome. Did it by chance come with the AMT Lightning bag/case? Either way, you got a dandy gun here. I love the AMT's, both the rifles and the pistols. I've got a slew of them. Incredible find! Congrats.

Do you have any idea how many were released to the public before AMT lost the lawsuit to Bill Ruger?
I did own a Lightining pistol back in the day, but I foolishly traded it off.
Hard to believe AMT pioneered 2 of the most popular Ruger firearms of all time, in Stainless Steel before Ruger actually did it themselves..
