I have a beautiful '65 Chevelle with the only downfall being is has the original anemic 194 ci 6 cylinder. I'm looking for a basic 1964 and up small block V-8 which will be used for transportation. Meaning, it doesn't need to be a thumper and do the quarter in 10.5. Preference would be a 327, 283 or 350 in that order. Also, having been bit a couple of times over the last 50 years, I need to hear it run unless you have a very convincing story why I should buy a motor sitting on the floor of your garage. Needs to be complete because I'm getting too old to chase down parts or rebuild it. Don't mind driving as long as the price and engine is worth the time.
I also have a running '52 Chevy truck and a non running '49 2dr Fleetline for sale or possible trade. I have a running 216 which is the original size engine for the '49. I'm trying to get my collection down to just the Chevelle.
