Now that Safebuilder is wherever he is. Who else on the ODT builds safe rooms?

Seems like a pretty specific question to me. The man is looking for a professional. I'd say there's a real good chance that his contractor doesn't have much experience with vaults/safe rooms. He wants someone who does to help.

Ok. Guess I should have said, What is the question you need answered? As I do not build safe rooms for a living I am in commercial construction and have been for about 15 years. I could possibly have an answer.
Just trying to help out a fellow ODTr.

What do you want in a "safe room"? I have a spare room in my basement I'm going to turn into a gun room. I'm going to change out the door frame and put a steel door and a deadbolt on it.

I've got one too but I want to put in a secret door with paneling to match the wall and a hidden entry keypad behind the light switch in the main room. My wife says I'm paranoid.

Well if you're doing it for "cool" factor I think thats a great idea. If you're doing it because you worried someone will get in there then I agree with her.

I too am looking for a contractor to build a safe/gun room. A retrofit to an existing room.
