We usually vacation here around the end of August when the shrimp are bigger ( we learned that last year, when we went Memorial day) but apparently for pier fishing it is a little warm. We may have an opportunity to go in a few weeks and was wondering what we could expect beach and tidal creek fishing? Are the shrimp decent size by now and is season open? Is the fishing for someone stuck to shore any good? We may take a charter one day-- any captain recommendations and what would be our best fish to target? We hammered Redfish last year on a half day charter and that was a blast! We only get to the ocean once a year so I am slowly picking up this saltwater thing.
