New update..Saturday Upstate New York State Deer Opener..

I know I know... the South has been my home for over 33 years.. I had a chance to buy a little piece of my youth 20 years ago, where I was born and learned to hunt with my Dad... It’ s an annual pilgrimage that includes both my boy’s. When we arrive they are expecting 3-8 inches of snow on the ground.. temps likely to never get above freezing..

Here’s a few pics. We hunt from Daylight to dark,and cook on a fire. It is cold, windy, snowy, wet and the best hunting in 4 days you can imagine..!

Was at the Buffalo NY airport National counter this morning and a retired CMS from the Air Force was checking in with a rifle case...wonder if he was there for the same reason?

Didn't make it on the lake but it was 26 degrees - glad I was there only for the day!

So Update.. We are heading into a Nor’easter.. Changing vehicles and taking the Sons F350 Dually 4x4.. almost all is Highway.. The mountains on I 81 thru Pennsylvania are scary enough with a few inches of snow.. Now add in Ice, wind, and up to 12 inches of snow...

Great news is they have more than one plow... They get in front of this and do a great job on storms..
