This. If you look at the logging that happened post-closure you KNOW it wasn't about water quality, it was about money. About the only positive thing that came of this is TU got screwed by their own actions, as their precious waterways were inundated with silt and crap hundreds of thousands of times worse than OHV's ever did there.

From an economic standpoint, the area has suffered, so the short term gains from logging lost out to the long term sustained income...

Murphy has been BAD hit with the loss of Tellico! Saw that coming the minute they started talking about it all. And I miss Steve. I remember the first time I ever did Upper/lower two he met me outside the office with a telco rated sticker that he put on my jeep. Prob one of the proudest moments for me so far...

Why is everyone harshing on the 'shroom? It's probably been well over 10 years since I've been in one (so maybe it's changed) but as I remember the 'za was good and the beer was cold. Y'all are awful 'fancy'....

The one in Milledgeville was the first one me and the wife ever went to. It was fine. But the one near Warner Robins is more like a bar. It's obnoxiously loud in there. And I refuse to wait for a table at a pizza joint.

See now I agree with this. A kid is NOT old enough mature enough to make the decision about riding a motorcycle even as a passenger. And it is not fair for anyone to make that decision for them.

I agree a child cant make the decision. That is the responsibility of the parent. By law as long as the child can reach the passenger pegs they are legal to ride. While I dont feel that everything that is legal is something I want my kids doing. I dont know where we draw the line.
