I was just wondering if anyone else here builds scale models ? It's been a hobby I've had since I was 7 0r 8 & I've just never given it up.

The hobby has gotten pretty pricey these days too. New kits are crazy expensive, never mind getting a kit from 20-30 years ago.

That's a pricey hobby too.. I just build ones that sit on the shelf ..LOL

I use to buy military helicopters and hang them from my bedroom celling, but gave them to a young kid, who enjoyed them. I don't think I have any pics Hayata (grew up poor) sorry

Wish I had the time for it...I love that stuff. I used to built the balsa model airplanes; the kind where you cut out the ribs and struts and stuff and cover it with the tissue paper.

I used to and then tried to get my sons into the hobby, but it didn't take,
I saw recently where you can download plans for your 3D printer and make parts & kits at home. The future is here.
