Been here over 30 years and have never seen one.

See them all the time down at hunting property. If you really want to know, get a portable UV light and go out after dark and look in rocks and wood piles. They will glow from the light.

I’ve got a scar on my thumb from one of these bastards when I was a kid.

I killed 2 of these in the last month at my house. You have to grind them with a tennis shoe as they are tough and have a hard exoskeleton. I did catch one and show the wife first and told her to avoid as they were know as "cow killers" for a reason.

If you just step on them they’ll pick your leg up and throw you out of the way.
