Screw on my legion 229 grip fell out

Oops missed this first post of yours.
The legion screws are a different profile than regular sig screws. I found out the hard way
They use a G10 grip. The pocket depth in the g10 is more shallow than the other grips they use so the screw heads will stick up higher than they are supposed to.
I was going off of Sig's website and when I didn't see them under the parts picker (https://www.sigsauer.com/sig-sauer-small-parts-shoppers/p229-parts-picker/), so I did a search for them and found that other link.
 
As others have said, not all P229 grip screws are the same. The P229 Legion, in all calibers, uses the shorter screw shown on the left in the chart below (part #1201257, P229 .40/.357), also referred to as "GRIP-SCREW-3". These are the same shorter screws used in P224 and P229C models. Using the longer screws can impact magazine fit/function.
