SD Pheasant Hunt

Guys,

Heading west for my first hunt in a few weeks. Any advice? I picked up a pair of Danner Pronghorns today and plan on getting some brush pants soon. Was planning on taking my SBE 2, is that a good choice? Any advice is appreciated.

The SBE II is great. We used 5s and 6s, but I read an article that said 7 is the best pheasant load. That's 7, not 7.5. Fiocchi is one of the few that make these. Seems like they call it Golden Pheasant, or something similar.

If you don't mind me asking, which lodge are you visiting?

The SBE will do a good job. You better take some non-tox shot like Hevishot.

In the event, you get on public land you will not be able to shoot lead
