After inspecting the gun that I had brought with me ...he gave himself a B+ and said that it looked better than he remembered. He also wrote me a note saying this was the only gun he had ever fully engraved.
Anyway, sorry for rambling...it's just one of those rare things that happens sometimes when you buy a gun and start researching its provenance.
I hope I didn't sell it too cheap.

Kimber Ten II double stack poly .45...they only made these for a couple of years...
I believe you are spot on. But when Para Ordnance decided to produce their 14/45 doublestack, 14 round mags became plentiful. Para mags work with a small alteration of the retention slot.IIRC, the Frames were made for Kimber by Bul in Israel...Also, seems like the Hi-Caps were kinda' hard to come by for 'em--Most were imported/sold with Ten-rounders if my recollection is accurate...
