Sen. Feinstein suggests national buyback of guns

There wasn't a previous healthcare law that resulted in a congressional bloodbath in the next election. There wasn't a bunch of court cases that had recently indicated the health care bill would be unConstitutional.

Feinstein can say what she wants. She can write whatever legislation she wants. I don't doubt that she's had a gun ban bill written up for years that she sits in bed and masturbates to. That doesn't mean she has the power to pass this thing on her own.

It was Hillary's convening of the healthcare task force that played a major role in the bloodbath 1994 elections. Pundits cited that as a reason why a healthcare bill would not pass two years ago.

Hasselhoss is correct - this isnt Feinstein speaking as much as it is party leadership speaking, just using a congressional seat that is safe to do so. These are people bouyed by the presidential election and they are feeling strong at the moment. They also plan to strike while emotions are high. Gun buyback - doubtful, but something with teeth is passable.

Hillarycare didn't pass. And wasn't it something like 19 out of 24 NRA candidates won election in '96? Maybe I'm off on the exact numbers, but it was the overwhelming majority. There may have been other factors, of course, but the one issue that was most prominent was the AWB.

And like I said...we've just had several SCOTUS and lower court rulings go in favor of gun rights. And as much as we all hate it, obamacare has been rules Constitutional. That's a HUGE difference.

As I've said many times...it's time to be vigilant and write letters and remind them that we are watching. But it's not time to panic.
