Here's a little story that happened to my daughter when she was in college.... followed up with a question that I have:
My daughter recently graduated college. The last two years she was there, she shared an apartment with 2 other athletes. My daughter and one of the others where volleyball players (tall, blonde, quite attractive)... when they moved in, there was still a lot of construction going on... and to make a long story short, one of the workers on site we found out was a convicted sex offender. Needless to say, I was furious at the builder... thankfully, the builder did the right thing and the worker moved far far away. I immediately wanted to buy my daughter a gun... to protect herself if she needed to... and I was also going to have her trained in how to shoot, and just as importantly, when and when not to shoot.
Here's my question. My daughter is back in Atlanta... still slim and still attractive (she took after mom, thank goodness).... I still want to buy her a gun... as a dad, I'd like her to carry it with her. Is this a good idea? Am I over reacting? Right now, she carries a little thing of pepper spray (in a pink case), but in my opinion, it's just not enough. Being an athlete, she is strong... and fast... but I just don't think it's enough.
Please comment, because I really want your opinions. And yes, if she got a gun, it would have pink handles!
