Look closely. Shoots himself. Has no blood on the back of his shirt. Shoots the instructor in the leg as he is getting away.

I was an Instructor in Benning at the Infantry Center in 65, they were short NCO's for the range and asked could I fill in for the day, a Raw recruit turned around (because his instructor wasn't paying attention)and hosed the control tower down on full auto. Thank God no one was killed, the Instructor in the tower had to handed down because he was shaking so bad he couldn't climb down the ladder by himself, and I set a world record of going prone face down. Never worked the range again. I've always assumed I'd most likely get shot in Combat (I did LOL) but I just don't won't to die in some stupidazz accident on a firing range

Definitely a suicide attempt. He tried to shoot himself in the heart but the muzzle slid and it looks like it went through his side into the instructor's leg.

The way I saw it this morning, he shot himself and the instructor in the chest and the shot 1-2 rounds in the instructors leg after he went down. Hard to tell...

Did he try and rack the slide and shoot himself in the chest? I know he didn't need to rack the slide but if it wasn't suicide, that's the only thing I can think of he was doing

Looks like a hot case went into the shirt and the idiot tried to get it with pistol in the hand, can't see why she shot the instructor, accidently.
