Shot shell reloading - Primer question

I'm new to shotshell reloading, but I've been reloading for hanguns and rifles for years.

As I look through these recipies I've noticed they show the primer recommendation.
Now I have some Win, Fed and Cheddite, but is there really much of a difference?
If so in what way?

In shotshells primers make a very big difference compared with metallic loads. Here is where someone did some real numbers:

As you can see a change of primer could affect chamber pressure almost 10% without a meaningful change in velocity.

ALWAYS follow published loads for shotshell. Primers/wads can make a huge difference.

I stick with the recipe, but I couldn't help but wonder why they were being so specific.

Yes I'd done a lot of reading about hulls, powders, wads and shot, but there wasn't any good scoop on the differences in the primer brands.
