I voted no! We were ALL new at one point. Every single one of us. We have a feedback system for a reason. I've met plenty of new people. All stand up folks.
X2. I'm still FNG compared to some but have met plenty of good folks. When I first started, I was treated fairly. Just be reasonable and do what you say. You'll get good feedback from this. Just my .02.

I vote no, and the only thing that should get you banned in the beginning is using the excuse "My wife said I had to keep it" for backing out of the trade. I say this in jest, if your wife is that into your business maybe she should do all the tradin'.............

Maybe there should be an hour count for everyone instead of just a post record. Lots of us lurk on here without posting. I know I am on this site from 1-3 hours looking around almost every night. This site is not just for buying/selling, sometimes its entertaining, educational, and just a good place to kill some time. I am not sure that a simple "bump", "glws", or "welcome to odt" should even count as posts. Seems like just an easy meaningless way to increase your post number to me. For me, the determining factor of whether I buy/sell something is the money. To me the posts and feedback are not a determining factor. Ebay yes because I am prepaying and hoping something eventually gets shipped, here we deal ftf primarily so no worries for me. When I sell something, I want everyone available to see it. Why would I want to limit the number of prospective buyers or sellers?

I was new once. I don't see a min post count as much of a "hassle" if its kept low, like 10 or so. I'm also good as it is but if there was a post count it should be low enought not to discourage. Not a post count to join, just to sell or buy. Might shed somelight on how's things work round here.

Just think, if we restricted people for not posting we'd never see the likes of Ronnie Gore who stays in the classifieds and is one of the best men you'll ever deal with. Character is character. You either have it or you don't.
