USPS has a contract with Amazon. I wonder if they're prioritizing those deliveries over the normal mail to meet some sort of contract obligations?

Not at all.

Had two packages coming from Amazon. About the size of a large paper back book.

Got expected delivery time from Amazon, o.k., no big rush, I'm waiting.

Tues, get an email from Amazon, USPS has notified them that it attempted delivery On MONDAY and could not find the front door. Someone is a lying piece of excrement.. I work from home, I am here all the time, and I live in a tract house on a cul-de-sac in a subdivision. I have an oversized mailbox the package would have fit in.

Later Tues., I get another email that USPS had tried to deliver the other package on TUES., same crap.

So I print out both tracking statements from Amazon and tape them to my mail box, the Tues. mail running late. Postman comes by about 7:30 PM, and I go out and check the mail. Both packages are in the mail box.

What I think happen is that in our subdivision we have Maple St., Maple Pl., Maple Cir., Maple Dr., Maple Ct. Not unusual for the pizza guy to show up (or not show up if it's our pizza).

I'm thinking it was a substitute mail person, who couldn't find the right address on Maple Whatever, and just bagged it and headed back to the house.

Just filed a lost complaint with the fourth internet vendor. This is a record for me. All 4 packages shipped via.....USPS! 4 at one time in less than 10 days.

I mailed a parcel and it was there the next day.

The return parcel came when they said it would, but it took from Sat till Thurs.

Well, BIL dun it agin. We were going to be at my daughter's for Christmas, so he shipped our presents USPS Priority Mail to her house. St. Simons to Raleigh.
Guaranteed 2 day delivery, be there on Monday, Christmas eve.
No Joy, checked tracking. Wednesday for sure. Nope...
Checked tracking, delivery by 8 pm. Nope...
Thursday? Yep, we'll have it by noon. Nope...
Checked tracking, by 8 pm for sure. Nope...
We're back home, BIL has sent daughter shipping labels for Raleigh to Lawrenceville so she can forward if package ever shows up.
