Hunts4food I really love that shot hard then left wet and dirty look. That Baer is a fine work of art

Lets see your tricked out 1911s

How about my Dad's 1911, it’s a Springer Stainless Loaded. He is not a spit and polish guy. The polished flat's although very nice had to go and were glass bead blasted. It was his retirement present and his eyes were a bit worn from fair wear and tear over the years so some Novak adjustable fiber optics was in order. He hates ambi-safeties so an Ed Brown tactical slide safety was correctly fitted to the sear. An Ed Brown extended magazine drop button helps give a bit more leverage. A Crimson Trace laser picks up the slack in low light for aged eyes. An Ed Brown fitted magazine funnel assist magazine changes. The factory hump on the grip safety-beaver tail was reduced per request.

I flushed the extractor to the slide. I flushed the slide stop too but it was too much of a chore to put it back in and went with an Ed Brown standard stainless one-much easier to remove/install and filed a groove on it as to reduce the risk of an idiot mark. I had thought to install a match barrel/bushing but Dad preferred not to use a barrel wrench, so the factory barrel was left as is. The full length guide rod was swapped for an Ed Brown standard one. Stainless steel hex head grip screws replace the old ones.
