Side gig

This is our 4th one, all I found at the others worth keeping was a cool looking bookshelf, had to sand it and paint it. So I’m pretty used to just filling garbage bags and straight to the dumpster, after all that’s what we are getting paid to do!
If I hunt back through my posts from December of 19 I could probably find pics from our hoarder house. Some old dude just loved auctions and had auction stuff stacked everywhere. Most of it still had lot number stickers on it. And a lot of it was just dumb **** like half a dozen vacuum cleaners or toaster ovens. And oh my God the tube TVs! In fact there was a 32" Hitachi tube TV that I know for certain was about a thousand when it was new since it was THE biggest tube TV on the market. But it was also the heaviest. There was a box full of Garmin and TomTom GPSs and a ton of old 35mm cameras and photography equipment.
Here was the funniest part. We had the biggest roll off available parked in the front yard and we did fill it up. But everyday when I went back over there I would see semi toothless fleabag folks waist deep in that roll off sorting through the junk. At first they acted like they were doing something wrong and apologized. But I told them to please have at it. Cause the roll off was nearly full and anything they took out of it was fine with me. The saying about " One man's trash.." really rings true here.

Here are a few of the goodies I scrounged from our clean out. One is a late 70s vintage Technics receiver. I still need to find a shop that can clean and service it. The other pic is a Philips DVD surround sound system. I use it just as a stereo. It's hooked up to the JBL shelf speakers . The other pic is some very dusty Optimus ( Radio Shack ) indoor outdoor Bose knockoff speakers. They sound very good for what they are and sooner or later I plan to use them in my truck.

Nice!
the 2 cars that were in the back, one was a thunderbird, not sure the other. Pretty bad condition, but not beyond for someone who knows what they are doing.
This guy was former military or some other government office. Hundreds of bottles of meds from the VA going back 30 years. Almost all full and full of mold. Over 75 boxes with African masks that he would decorate and sell. Wooden canes he would make, decorate and sell.
can’t wait to do his workshop Monday!!!

Yeah the guy we cleaned up after loved car auctions too. So his yard looked like an impound lot. My landlord dragged a very raggedy AMC Javelin back here to Perry. Another guy wound up with a late 80s Supra .
