Sig Carry? Safe or Dangerous?

Where are all the Sig defenders? They were so outspoken and self-righteous before. What happened?

Well, it is an 8 and a half year old document and many, maybe all, of the issues documented were/are addressed. It would be interresting to see other FMECA studies for other firearms submitted for the program (if they exist)

I doubt any of the fire and pitchfork crowd will care, But this airman shooting was 1000% caused by a human being and stupidity. Now two airman are dead. The first guy that was killed and now the one that shot him seemingly shot himself. And two andditinal airman implemented as well.

That is a cluster ****.

To think these guys have been vetted to guard our nuke silos.

My feeling is I don't carry anything but a revolver appendix. I believe some of the the Sig 320s have issues. There's too much smoke out for there not to be a fire somewhere. A buddy asked me to work on one of his because of the slide to frame fit. Every time you moved the trigger to the rear you could see the red dot on the slide move significantly. Very crappy slide to frame fit. Keep in mind, the striker is in the slide and the sear is in the frame. Any variations in the slide to frame fit is going to affect the consistency of the sear to striker engagement. He was nervous about the gun so I tighten it up to remove most of the movement. The trigger weight increased a little bit with the added engagement but at least he now knows there's plenty of engagement and the chance of an un-commanded discharge are greatly reduced.

I just don’t appendix carry. Completely violates the first tenant of gun safety for me. Never point a gun at anything you don’t intend to shoot. I know a lot do and have no issues. Just not for me.
