ad doesn't specify if it's a pistol or rifle upper. says barrel is 14.5", we don't know if it's 14.5+pinned muzzle device or 14.5 total length.

I'm guessing it's not a pinned barrel since it's coming with the parts to make a pistol AR.

Although this is a Sig upper, it has no markings that say Sig, if that bothers anyone. The barrels are advertised as chrome lined and do not specify if they are cold hammer forged, as many of the Sig barrels are.

For over a month, they had them at $499 then recently added the offer for the SBX Brace and Phase 5 buffer tube at $549. The Phase 5 buffer tubes are on closeout at $21.99 alone, which is a decent price if you are running a non-adjustable brace.

As stated above, these are 14.5" total length so will either need to SBR, pin and weld, or keep it as a pistol. Great deal, especially if you already have a carbine and just want the spare parts/pieces, or wanting to jump into the piston/pushrod system. Note also that the 516 and the M400 share the same lower receiver (for anyone with spare M400 lowers).

Another advantage of buying directly from Sig is free (but sometimes slow) shipping and no sales tax!!

Thanks for all the info. This is a nice deal for a SBR. Last year around this time they had the 10.5” for $499 which was a killer deal - wish they’d do that again!
