Sighting in 10/22 with Scope and Laser?

Obviously, the laser will only match up with the crosshairs at one specific yardage. So, at what distance would you sight in the scope and would you match the laser up with that or set the laser up for a different yardage? Don't really understand the concept of needing a laser out past, say, 50 yards. How would you set it up?

Lasers are silly on 22's. Couldn't even see mine in the day time.

Whats your intended prey? Im assumimg a red laser. Id set the scope up for POI at the furthest effective range for your chosen ammo. Then set the laser up for 25 yards maybe.

Do the laser for up close say 30ft and do the scope at 50yds. Sighting in at 50 will give you almost the same point of impact with a 22lr at 25 yds, and IIRC ~2" low at 75yds.

I Use a driveway reflector to shine the laser on at about 30 yard and line up the cross hairs. Then dial the scope in on the target.
