At this point, it needs to be open to all, not controlled by a single poster.

It's back. Since that thread was originally an ad the system still treats it as one, my best guess is it got auto closed bc of how old it is.

do this: create a new thread in Hobbies for silver, and I'll try merging the old thread into it. That should get it out of the ad format, but still be able to retain all the existing posts.
