There is no accuracy difference from what I have read, but don't threaded barrels generally sell for more?

I believe he was talking about where the barrel meets the receiver, not end of muzzle. But you bring up a good point, I don't think I've ever heard of anyone doing a silenced sks

Actually I'm referring to the way the factories in China switched from threaded barrels to pinned (how they attach to the receiver) during production. Believe it was done in the late 1960s. Read they switched as a way to lower the cost, increase production and make them cheaper.

Yes....they were given the SKS design, tooling and the Russians even helped them start production.

But I believe only the Chinese made the pinned versions. So that's the question...pinned vs threaded. Is there a big difference? Does anyone care?
