Sky Guns International Executive AR Rifle In Case Coming soon in 7.62 NATO!!

attachment.php

Exactly like that. I got the mother ****er out too.

Don't bet the farm on what I can and can't do in my garage with a dremel.

I would not bet the farm on anything someone else could do on their own. I would just point out that before attempting to do so, we are talking about saftey, as this in the end would be what properly holds and locks the barrel in the upper receiver. If this was such an easy task, then why haven't a multitude of companies done what DRD Tactical has done???

Since I am known for being a smart**s. I will say, no big deal, go down to Autozone and get a left handed drill bit, drill until broken tap spins out. Anybody could do that.

ROFLMAO!!!!

All kidding aside, I do know how much of a pain in the a** that truly is, see it all the time. "You want how much to install scope mounts??? I can do that myself". It is usually followed by, "you want how much to remove the broken tap from my receiver and fix this situation??".

In theory I don't disagree with you....but you clearly came in with a defensive posture and purely to stir the pot. This wasn't a "hey guys what do you think about this weapon system?" thread in which you gave your opinion. This was a "hey guys, I'm selling this weapon system" thread in which you linked months old, drama-ridden posts from one individual who never actually even did business with the company in question.

I have to agree....from clarence it is to be expected....from captdave, I am suprised.

I also linked a to a thread where a guy tried for a month and a half to get his "brand new" AR fixed. The guy was so frustrated members were offering to fix it for him because it made all home builds look bad?

You and several other people in this thread commented on it.

This is not the first time you have asked us questions that we have responded that it is not something we would discuss on a public forum. If you would like to meet and discuss our ambidextrous upper, I would actually be more than happy to do that. Again, how many truly ambidextrous uppers have you seen?? I guess you feel I should just attach the shape file to this message?? I actually enjoy discussing technical designs, but I am not about to discuss how we do something like this on a public forum. Answer a direct technical question, sure I would have no issue discussing how we manufacture 4 rail gas blocks, how we manufacture our quad rails or how we manufacture barrels. But I will not discuss in a public forum the origins of our quad rail design, who used to make it and how we wound up with its design plans. However, if you wanted to discuss that with us privately, we would be more than happy to do so. Secretive?? No, it is called protecting our intellectual property and the business that provided us with said property. However, it would be no secret if you purchased one of our quad rails. As soon as you have it in your hands you would now where the design came from originally, that is why we NEVER post pics of the barrel nut system for our quad rails. Just as we would never discuss who we manufacture components for. If the company we supply with parts has an agreement in place with us to sell a product as their own, it is not right for us to tell the public that they use our product. Perfect example is our Executive rifle, it is NOT a DRD Tactical take down upper, a DRD take down upper can only be purchased via RSR Group, you cannot even purchase them directly from DRD Tactical. You can buy their upper kits via Brownells only. We do not use these kits, we use DRD Tacticals patented barrel nut system and matching DRD Tactical QD rail. You might wonder how come every time I mention DRD Tactical I use their proper company name?? It is because I am contractually required to do so. I cannot sell rifles or uppers with DRD Tactical components that have exclusive distribution agreements in place, nor am I allowed to use any of their products without stating that they are DRD Tactical products.

I'm not asking you to publish a CAD file of the ambi upper and bolt carrier group. All I asked for was a better explanation of how it works.

For example, Larue just published a YouTube video giving a detailed description of how their takedown upper works, with every part shown in detail. Your reasons for not discussing anything beyond mere general descriptions just doesn't hold water. Innovative products are usually blasted all over the net, once patents are in place, in an effort to showcase new innovations. If you're that concerned about patent infringement, you need better lawyers. On the other hand, if you aren't comfortable discussing anything about your business online, whether it be product specifics, contractual agreements or anything else, don't mention them in the first place. This is a discussion forum, if you don't want to discuss something, don't invite questions by talking about it and then refusing to go into detail.

I'd love to meet up to see some of your products and discuss them in greater detail. Unfortunately, that will be difficult to do for at least the next 6-8 weeks due to several upcoming family commitments. If you're game, I would be happy to T&E an upper and report back here. Ammo on my dime, minimum 500 rounds, semi and full auto, and I'll ship it back to you on my dime. I understand if you're not up for it, but I'm trying to show some objectivity here.
