Yikes. Read that a few days ago. Another story about a year ago (can't find it now) told a similar story about some researchers who put two robots in front of each other across a table, both run by AI. Their task was to communicate with each other to figure out how to barter with one another for a few rudimentary items (possessions) they had in front of them. Within about 10-minutes, they were communicating with their own language that they had just created, and were no longer interested in the task at hand. The researchers immediately pulled the plug, on the spot. Musk, Stephen Hawking, Noah Harari and similar minds have been shouting from the mountain tops about the dangers for years. An interesting side, AI seems to develop bigotry pretty quickly, as well.
