Good detailed photos and information in the ad is key also. I can’t believe how many ads I see with 1-2 photos of a weapon, 4’ away, in low light and low resolution or a manufacturers stock photo.

Many ads have the price too high also, thinking they are going to get their money back on all the unnecessary aftermarket upgrades they did to make a used $475 Glock worth $800. LOL.

Yep. My Dad was a car salesmen. They offered book on trade ins, no matter how much you spent on aftermarket parts.

Did you include a picture of your toes at the bottom of the picture? Seems to be fetish apparently. Especially if you have toe fungus. Kidding aside, Shotguns don't sell. Period. I tell folks that no one wants a bunch of shotguns. I've had really nice top of the line stuff sit forever on GB. People will own three dozen hand guns and still buy more. They will own rifles stacked to the ceiling and still buy another one. Shotguns. nadah! They will own a defense shotgun, a bird gun or something and maybe a hand me down from grandpa. but will not have a safe full of shotguns. Maybe in the mid west where people actually have some game to hunt but not so much here. I'm sure someone will be along in a second to correct me with a picture their safe full of Parrazi's or an A5 Collection, but they probably will be voting for Walz, so there's that.

I've definitely gotten a sense that things are moving extra slow around here. I've seen lots of nice items, already at decent prices, see repeated price drops, before finally moving. I have a bit of AK ammo on here, not only posted lower than current retail, but lower than all other ads here, ( with good photos, and coherent description), and all I've heard, was from 2 nitwits with reading comprehension issues (apparrently expecting me to drive 2 hours, each way, though I clearly specified "local sale, no road trips".)
And even then, I was STILL working with them on the distance, then they BOTH just ghosted on me !!! (Ghosting in the middle of a civil discussion seems to be the new normal ).
And one of these 2 ammo ads of mine, sees 100-180+ views, EVERY bump, but with nobody even taking so much as a wild swing ! (Are they waiting on the 50% Off Sale? I dunno.)
Anyway, yeah, I do think the market has gotten a little wiggy.

I am seeing the "auction" sites have been showing sales numbers, if listed at penny auction, closing for about 40% less than when the height was during gun shortage Covid. Those Covid prices may have been short term and unrealistic, but like Gold & Silver, once you pay the price, you hate to take less.

I do see that the rare stuff, if priced high, but within reason, IS selling. But it has to be in the "Collectable" arena.

I just watched a NIB James River Armory BM-59, a Gen II model with forged receiver, sell for $1,600 instead of the commonly listed retail of $2,800. That must have hurt for the seller?
